SISU Empowering Others was honored to be featured on Episode #70 of Fuera del Aire El Podcast con Guillo El Lokillo.

During this special conversation, SISU Co-Founder Isa Sánchez joined Guillo El Lokillo to promote SISU’s Second Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration and introduce listeners to the organization’s work throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Isa shared her personal journey, her role in the community, and the passion that inspired her to co-found SISU Empowering Others. She also discussed how SISU supports vulnerable individuals and families through mentorship, advocacy, transportation assistance, housing connections, education, outreach, and community partnerships.

SISU’s work is guided by the M.A.T.H. method:

• Mentoring - Offering guidance, encouragement, and ongoing support.

• Advocacy - Helping individuals understand their rights and access available resources.

• Transportation - Reducing transportation barriers that prevent people from receiving essential services.

• Housing - Connecting individuals and families with housing resources and support.

The interview also highlighted SISU’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration—an annual event created to honor Hispanic culture, recognize community leaders, connect residents with valuable resources, and bring the community together through music, performances, food, networking, and celebration.

For Isa and the SISU team, the Hispanic Heritage Celebration represents more than one evening. It is an opportunity to celebrate cultural pride, strengthen community relationships, support local organizations and businesses, and recognize individuals who are making a meaningful difference.

Appearing on Fuera del Aire El Podcast gave Isa an important platform to explain who she is, what SISU does, and why collaboration is essential to creating lasting change throughout the Lehigh Valley.

SISU extends its sincere gratitude to Guillo El Lokillo for the invitation, the meaningful conversation, and the opportunity to promote the Hispanic Heritage Celebration while raising awareness about SISU’s mission and community impact.
