SISU’s 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration Brings the Community Together
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, SISU Empowering Others proudly hosted its 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Wind Creek Bethlehem. More than 100 guests joined us for an unforgettable evening celebrating Hispanic culture, community leadership, music, service, and unity.
The celebration brought together community members, nonprofit organizations, healthcare partners, businesses, vendors, performers, volunteers, and supporters from across the Lehigh Valley. The evening featured cultural performances, music, dancing, community recognitions, networking, dinner, and opportunities for guests to learn about valuable local services and resources.
Guests enjoyed outstanding performances by ICDI, 2 Sweet, AEM, King Manny, and IslaSon. Eliana Jiménez served as the evening’s master of ceremonies, and DJ John Díaz kept everyone celebrating throughout the night.
Honoring Those Who Make a Difference
During the celebration, SISU proudly recognized individuals and organizations whose leadership, compassion, advocacy, and service continue to make a meaningful difference in our community:
Unity Champion Award — UnitedHealthcare
Heart of the Community Award — Lemus Greenburg
Community Impact Award — Kevin Rodriguez and Angel Ramirez
Advocate Champion Award — Miguel Rodriguez
SISU Outreach Hero Award — Gary Fritz
Community Compassion Award — Lydia Osorio
Champion Mom of the Year Award — Veronica Hernandez
These awards celebrated the extraordinary people and organizations that generously contribute their time, leadership, talents, and resources to uplift others and strengthen our community.
A Celebration Made Possible Through Partnership
This successful event would not have been possible without our generous sponsors and community partners, including UnitedHealthcare, Visions Federal Credit Union, IronPigs, Fulton Bank, Univest, Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley, Women’s Life Insurance, The Yurconic Agency, Believe in Property Solutions, BIPs, and the many vendors, donors, and organizations that supported the celebration.
We are also deeply grateful to our planning committee, decorators, registration team, performers, photographers, volunteers, board members, and everyone who donated a basket, provided a service, or shared an idea. Every contribution helped create a welcoming and meaningful experience.
Celebrating Culture While Empowering Others
The Hispanic Heritage Celebration represents more than one evening of entertainment. It reflects SISU’s commitment to honoring culture, strengthening partnerships, connecting people with resources, and recognizing those who make a difference.
Through our M.A.T.H. approach—Mentoring, Advocacy, Transportation, and Housing—SISU Empowering Others continues to help vulnerable individuals, families, and people living with HIV overcome barriers and improve their quality of life.
Although we may not always see everything the same way, we share one important purpose: empowering others and making a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve.
Thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, performed, volunteered, donated, or supported the 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration. Together, we created beautiful memories and another successful year of community, culture, and connection.
We look forward to celebrating with you again next year!
