SISU Empowering Others Launches Its First High School Diploma Program in Partnership with Dr. Ann Taylor, Project of Easton, and Successful Start
SISU Empowering Others proudly marked a major milestone with the launch of its first High School Diploma Program, an initiative designed to break barriers, expand opportunity, and transform lives through education. In partnership with Dr. Ann Taylor, and Successful Start, this program represents SISU’s mission in action—empowering individuals with the tools, mentorship, and support they need to build a stronger future.
The program was hosted through Phillips Global Institute, where students were provided an accessible and supportive pathway to complete their high school education. This partnership model reflects SISU’s commitment to community collaboration and to creating systems that uplift individuals through compassion, guidance, and encouragement.
A total of 21 students completed the program, each overcoming personal obstacles and demonstrating the courage to invest in themselves. For many, earning a high school diploma was a dream long delayed due to life circumstances, work responsibilities, or lack of resources. Through SISU’s collaborative approach, students found not only an educational opportunity—but also a community that believed in their success.
This first cohort is a powerful example of SISU’s mission:
SISU Empowering Others provides client-focused mentorship, connection to services, and tools so our vulnerable population and clients with HIV thrive with improved quality of life.
The High School Diploma Program aligns directly with that mission by removing barriers to education and offering a supportive system where students can gain confidence, stability, and new possibilities for employment or further study.
Launching the first High School Diploma Program marks a historic moment for SISU Empowering Others. It reflects the organization's dedication to addressing the root challenges that affect vulnerable populations—such as limited education, unstable employment, and lack of support systems.
By helping individuals achieve one of the most foundational academic milestones, SISU continues to invest in long-term solutions that strengthen families, communities, and future generations.
This inaugural class of 21 graduates lays the foundation for expanding SISU’s educational initiatives in the years ahead. Each diploma earned represents determination, hope, and a step toward a brighter future—and SISU is proud to walk alongside every participant on their journey.
As SISU continues to grow, so will its commitment to providing accessible education, empowerment, and mentorship to all who seek a second chance and a stronger future.
