A Day to Remember: SISU Empowering Others and Boys & Girls Club Field Trip
October 18, 2025 | Valley Fruits & Veggies
On a crisp October morning, laughter and excitement filled the air as SISU Empowering Others joined the Boys & Girls Club for a memorable fall field trip at Valley Fruits & Veggies. It was a day filled with teamwork, exploration, and joy — a perfect reflection of SISU’s mission to empower youth through hands-on learning and community connection.
The adventure began with a hayride through the farm, where students of all ages soaked in the beauty of the season — golden cornfields, bright orange pumpkins, and blue autumn skies. The smiles were contagious as older students helped guide the younger ones, showing the spirit of mentorship that SISU strives to build.
Next came the corn maze, where students tested their problem-solving skills and teamwork as they navigated the winding paths together. Cheers erupted as they found their way out and posed for photos with their pumpkins — each one a small symbol of growth and accomplishment.
After all the fun, the group gathered to relax and enjoy. The laughter, shared stories, and sense of togetherness made it clear: this wasn’t just a field trip — it was a day of building confidence, connection, and memories.
This event was part of SISU’s Healthy Living Initiative, which encourages physical activity, wellness, and community engagement. Through partnerships with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and support from community sponsors such as the IronPigs, SISU continues to create opportunities for youth to learn, lead, and thrive.
As the students headed home with hearts full of joy, they carried the message that empowerment starts with moments like these.
